Computer-based BULATS can either be installed on Standalone workstations or on a network.
A
dongle, a device used to prevent software piracy which sits in the parallel port on a workstation/server, is necessary to run a
BULATS test. The dongle contains both licenses and test counts.
The test counts govern the number of tests that can be taken in each test language, the licenses govern how many tests can be run on a network at any one time.
When ordering tests it is necessary to specify the number of counts and licences required.
Counts can be updated simply by emailing Euroaptitudini the dongle number and the number of counts required in each test language.
The
BULATS software comes with a detailed
User Manual with instructions for both Standalone and Network installations. Technical support is also available from Euroaptitudini and dedicated technical support at Cambridge ESOL.
